Calgary, AB – May 20, 2026 – Today, the Islamic Restoration Society (IRES) was honored to host the latest Inter-Agency Network Meeting, bringing together diverse service organizations from across Calgary to connect, share updates, and strengthen our collective impact.
The meeting took off with a vibrant morning networking session, followed by an official welcome, Land Acknowledgment, and a collaborative review of the previous meeting minutes from January.
Spotlighting IRES Programs and Referrals
A major highlight of the morning was the opportunity to present IRES’s dedicated services and programs to our fellow community partners. We shared our ongoing mission, focusing on holistic support and specialized initiatives, such as our legal and justice system programming aimed at reducing the overrepresentation of community members in the criminal justice system.
During the presentation, we invited agency representatives to actively refer individuals and families who could benefit from our tailored services. Strengthening these referral pathways ensures that vulnerable Calgarians receive the specific, culturally sensitive support they need to thrive.
Stronger Together: Community Agency Updates
The gathering also featured a round of “Agency Updates,” where organizations shared their latest initiatives, upcoming events, and resource expansions. From language training and housing support to senior programming and youth mentorship, the diversity of services represented in the room highlighted the robust safety net available to Calgarians.
