Eid Al Adha Pilot Project 2026

IRES is running an Eid Al Adha program in Calgary, with a focus on supporting children whose fathers are currently incarcerated, as well as families in need. Children will receive gifts to help them feel included and celebrated during Eid, while families will be provided with qurbani meat and food hampers.

Posters have been placed in correctional facilities in and around Calgary to reach eligible families, and sign-up forms are being made available for easy access. A designated supervisor will coordinate and facilitate the distribution of gifts and qurbani meat, ensuring it is carried out smoothly, respectfully, and in a timely manner.
