Biography:
President Jahan News Network, JNN, Israr Kasana is a senior print/TV journalist and has held several editorial and managerial positions during his career, including Pakistan Television (PTV) as Executive Editor News and Current Affairs. With over 10,000 airtime hours and over 1000 articles to his credit, he has been doing morning shows and prime time shows on PTV, ARY TV, Bol TV and other international channels. He has been appearing on CNN as well. He started his career as a print journalist first with The Frontier Post and then The News International and has written many op-ed articles and reports. He has also written op-ed articles in Daily Jang and Daily Nawaiwaqt of Pakistan and has also authored a book titled “America”. While in the US, he launched the first-ever Community newspaper in English “The Vision International”, also helped launch ARY TV from New York and was its first Bureau Chief of North America. He also worked with Bol Media as Senior Executive Vice President. He had a banking stint as well when he worked with the largest agriculture bank in Pakistan, called ZTBL, as Executive Vice President and Chief Spokesman. Currently, he hosts a weekly show “The Israr Kasana Show” on Omni tv Canada, a multicultural Canadian tv channel and contributes occasionally for CBC Television and CBC Radio Canada as well. Mr Kasana has an active presence in social media, especially Youtube, where he does one or two shows daily. He has recently launched a YouTube channel “Desi Calgar,y” for the local community.
