The Islamic Restoration Society proudly announces its new beginnings!

Islamic Restoration Society accrued its first office space in downtown Calgary at 500 602 12 Ave SW, Calgary, AB,  T2R1J3, Canada

Dedicated to empowering Muslims to reach their full potential, the Society addresses challenges such as crime and recidivism by reconnecting individuals with their Islamic heritage and teachings. Through education, mentorship, and community support, the Society fosters personal growth, resilience, and a strong sense of identity, helping Muslims build a brighter future for themselves and their communities. The Society’s work focuses on supporting individuals, particularly those returning from incarceration, to successfully reintegrate into society.

“We believe that everyone, regardless of their past, deserves a second chance,” says Irfan Gulsu, board member of Islamic Restoration Society. “Our programs provide the tools needed for transformation, healing, and growth, empowering individuals to become active, compassionate members of society.”

The Society’s programs include training volunteers, providing materials to institutional chaplains for Islamic education, Correctional Programs for Muslim inmates who are not eligible for standard correctional programs, and mentorship programs pairing returning citizens with community volunteers.
