As part of Volunteer Week, Chaplain Malik Muradov, a chaplain at federal correctional institutions, gave an engaging presentation to youth community volunteers at an event hosted by the Intercultural Dialogue Institute (IDI) on May 3. He introduced the mission and work of the IRES, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and proactive support in addressing social challenges before they escalate.
Drawing on his experience working with incarcerated individuals, Chaplain Muradov highlighted the value of prevention services in helping people avoid life-altering pitfalls. His message encouraged young volunteers to remain committed to service and community engagement, underlining how education, mentorship, and compassion can change their lives before they go down the wrong path.
