Members of the Islamic Restoration Society (IRES) had the pleasure of visiting the Northeast Addiction and Mental Health Centre for Holistic Recovery (NAM). We were warmly welcomed by Dr. Gill, the founder of NAM, who shared his inspiring seven-year journey of establishing this unique centre dedicated to healing and recovery.
Our teams had meaningful discussions on how we can collaborate to better serve Muslim clients navigating challenges related to addiction and mental health. The populations our organizations support share many common experiences and needs, and together, we believe we can strengthen the path toward holistic recovery and community reintegration.
The visit also gave us a chance to share more about IRES’s mission and programs, and to invite the NAM team to join us at our upcoming Ethnocultural Day at Bowden Institution.
We were especially impressed by the serene atmosphere of NAM — a facility surrounded by nature, complete with a beautiful indoor botanical garden that reflects the centre’s commitment to growth and renewal.
We look forward to building a strong partnership rooted in compassion, collaboration, and shared purpose. 🌿
