IRES Celebrates Multiculturalism and Islamic Heritage Month in Edmonton
On October 28, 2026, the Islamic Restoration Society (IRES) actively participated in the Multiculturalism and Islamic Heritage Month celebration at the Edmonton Parole Office and Grierson Institution.
The gathering brought people from different backgrounds together to share their cultures, learn from one another, and strengthen community connections. Henna art, Ebru water marbling, cultural displays, and a variety of traditional foods and drinks created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The Moroccan and Kyrgyz communities, alongside other participating communities, made memorable contributions that highlighted the richness of our cultural diversity.
IRES was pleased to contribute to the celebration, connect with participants, and support the spirit of cooperation throughout the event. The gathering reflected values at the heart of our work: compassion, dignity, belonging, and helping people build stronger connections with their communities.
We sincerely thank the organizers, volunteers, and all participating communities for making this a wonderful occasion. We look forward to building on these relationships and continuing to serve our communities together.
