Islamic Prison Ministry

IRES is in the process of acquiring and producing materials for Muslim inmates to support their Islamic learning and way of life. These materials include audio CDs for Quran memorization, Islamic sermons and teachings, prayer timetables, calendars, and notebooks. Institutional Staff usually Chaplains can reach out to us requesting Islamic Materials.

Islamic Correctional Programs. Coming Soon!

IRES is developing correspondence courses for Muslim inmates, addressing their Correctional Plan dynamic need areas through Islamic teachings. These courses are based on Correctional Service Canada’s model. Each dynamic factor will be a separate, stand-alone course, allowing inmates to choose based on their individual needs:

  1. Employment/Education
  2. Marital/Family
  3. Associates
  4. Substance Abuse
  5. Community Functioning
  6. Personal/Emotional
  7. Attitude

IRES provides support and guidance for inmates transitioning back to the community on conditional release.

Once this individual reaches their Warrant Expiry Date they become our Alumni. At this point this individual is under no supervision or condition and they are free person as anyone else. Some of our selected Alumni could volunteer in our organization and contribute to our mission.


IRES is also conducting a fiscal study to determine the feasibility of establishing a Community Residential Facility to accommodate parolees who will continue their sentences in the community. Please contact us if you have any feedback to provide on this topic.
